About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Millwright to join our maintenance team in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

This position is well suited to a motivated millwright with 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience who can work independently while contributing effectively to a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.

• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs efficiently.

• Install, align, level, and commission machinery and mechanical components.

• Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.

• Use precision measuring and alignment tools as required.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

• Complete welding, fabrication, rigging, and mechanical modifications when required.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and Alberta occupational health and safety requirements.

• Work collaboratively with electricians, operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel.

• Participate in preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Journey-person Millwright / Industrial Mechanic certification preferred.

• 3–5+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and drive systems.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

• Valid driver's license is an asset.

• Red Seal certification is an asset.
