Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Facility Operations to provide strategic leadership over a portfolio of complex facilities. This senior leadership role is responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, capital planning, regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and the leadership and development of facility operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of facility operations across a diverse property portfolio.

• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.

• Oversee preventive maintenance, building systems, and lifecycle planning.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, legislation, and safety standards.

• Manage third-party service providers and vendor relationships.

• Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to operations teams.

• Partner with ownership and stakeholders to achieve strategic business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive facility operations leadership experience.

• Alberta 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate required.

• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and capital planning.

• Experience leading multi-site operations and multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex building operations and major projects.
