About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mid-Level Welder to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, repair, and assembly work while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

This position is ideal for a welder who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding according to project requirements.

• Read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, symbols, and specifications.

• Set up welding machines and select appropriate welding processes and consumables.

• Weld and fabricate steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.

• Perform fit-up, tack welding, grinding, cutting, and finishing.

• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and defects.

• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Perform repairs and modifications to fabricated components and equipment.

• Operate grinders, saws, plasma cutters, drills, and other fabrication equipment.

• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in good working condition.

• Work closely with fabricators, pipe-fitters, millwrights, and other trades.

• Follow welding procedures, job specifications, and quality-control requirements.

• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional welding experience.

• Welding certification or recognized trade training.

• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding.

• Ability to read and understand welding drawings and symbols.

• Strong understanding of welding techniques, fit-up, and fabrication.

• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum is an asset.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and working in various positions for extended periods.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Valid driver's license is an asset.

• WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, CSTS/SCOT, or other safety certifications are assets.
