
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to support the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and upkeep of our client’s properties. The successful candidate will be hands-on, dependable, and capable of performing a variety of general maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks.
Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour depending on experience.
Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, common areas, and facilities.
Complete general repairs and maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry, and fixture repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance and address maintenance issues promptly.
Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems as required.
Maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained common areas and building spaces.
Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal, grounds upkeep, and other outdoor tasks.
Coordinate with contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Monitor building equipment and report any safety hazards, deficiencies, or major repair requirements.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and applicable building standards.
Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials.
Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
2-4 years of experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, climbing ladders, and performing general maintenance duties.
Valid driver's licence is an asset.
Relevant trade certification or technical training is an asset.
