
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Building Operator to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and safety of a client's property. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining building systems, responding to maintenance issues, coordinating contractors, and ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well maintained.
Operate and monitor building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs.
Respond promptly to building maintenance requests and emergencies.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers when required.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and equipment documentation.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs and building improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, fire, and building regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional building environment.
Participate in an on-call or emergency-response rotation when required.
3 -5 years of experience in building operations, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform general maintenance and repairs.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Valid driver's licence is an asset.
Building Operator certification, Power Engineer certification, or related technical training is an asset.
$60,000–$70,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
