About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipe-fitter to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of piping systems and related equipment. This position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills and advance their career in the industrial, commercial, or mechanical trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems and components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, isometric drawings, and specifications.

• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipe according to project requirements.

• Install valves, flanges, fittings, supports, and related components.

• Assist with equipment installation and piping tie-ins.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and identify piping system issues.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe-fitting equipment safely.

• Assist with pressure testing and inspection of piping systems.

• Work with welders and other trades to complete piping installations.

• Perform rigging and material handling as required.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable regulations.

• Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pipe-fitting experience in an industrial, commercial, construction, or maintenance environment.

• Pipe-fitter apprenticeship experience or trade certification.

• Ability to read and understand piping drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with pipe, fittings, valves, flanges, and piping supports.

• Comfortable using common hand and power tools.

• Basic knowledge of pipe measurements, layout, and fitting techniques.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Physically capable of working in demanding environments and lifting materials as required.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver's license is an asset.

• CSTS/SCOT, WHIMS, Fall Protection, First Aid, or other relevant safety tickets are assets.
