
A full-time Maintenance Services Worker role is available, reporting to the Senior Manager, Building Services. This position is responsible for performing general building maintenance, supporting event setup and client needs, and maintaining high standards for quality and occupational health and safety.
Maintain interior and exterior building areas, including repairs to walls, woodwork, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, and equipment, as well as snow removal and graffiti removal.
Repair and maintain furniture and facility equipment as needed.
Set up and dismantle risers, steps, and event-related structures.
Perform or assist with renovation work alongside contractors.
Transport client and internal freight between loading areas and event spaces.
Operate equipment such as forklifts and aerial work platforms safely and efficiently.
Ensure contractors follow quality standards, conduct expectations, and safety protocols.
Use event management systems to track work orders, tasks, and related billing.
Maintain workshop spaces and tools in good working condition.
Support shipping and receiving operations and assist with event move-in and move-out.
Perform lighting adjustments and attend planning meetings as required.
Work flexible hours, including overtime, and support other departments when needed.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and safe work practices.
High school diploma.
Post-secondary trade certification considered an asset.
3–5 years of building maintenance experience.
Experience in shipping and receiving considered an asset.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and event management systems.
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard systems, rigging practices, and fall protection procedures.
Experience using carpentry tools and equipment.
Certification and experience operating forklifts and aerial work platforms.
Familiarity with rigging equipment specifications is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and push or pull heavy loads.
Comfortable working at heights.
Ability to distinguish colours.
Availability for rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
