Building Technician – Full Time (Permanent)

A growing property management team is seeking a Building Technician to support the day-to-day operations of a downtown portfolio consisting primarily of residential properties with some commercial space. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving technical issues, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced building environment.

This opportunity is well suited for candidates looking to continue building their career in real estate operations and building systems while gaining exposure to a professionally managed portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across building systems and common areas

• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical systems

• Conduct routine inspections and identify deficiencies requiring attention

• Respond to service requests and technical issues in a timely and professional manner

• Coordinate and supervise contractors when specialized repairs or services are required

• Maintain maintenance records and ensure work meets safety and operational standards

• Support overall building operations and system reliability

Qualifications

• 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate

• Minimum 3+ years of building operations, maintenance, or HVAC experience

• Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude

• Customer service oriented with clear communication skills

• Previous trades or mechanical experience considered an asset

• Experience supervising contractors considered beneficial

Compensation & Details

• Full-time, permanent position

• Salary range $75,000 – $85,000 annually

• Downtown portfolio exposure with residential and light commercial properties
