Building Operator - Industrial Facility

Compensation - Starting wage: $26.29/hour

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Building Operator to support an industrial-style facility in Calgary. This role is suited for an individual with strong hands-on maintenance ability, mechanical aptitude, and exposure to building systems and HVAC environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their facilities and operations experience within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.

• Support day-to-day building operations.

• Assist with HVAC-related inspections and maintenance.

• Respond to maintenance requests and operational issues.

• Coordinate with contractors and service providers as required.

• Conduct routine site inspections.

• Utilize smartphones and email communication for operational reporting and work orders.

• Maintain a safe and professional facility environment.

Qualifications

• Previous building operations, maintenance, construction, or facilities experience preferred.

• HVAC exposure is considered a strong asset.

• Power Engineering ticket considered an asset, but not required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Comfortable working independently and within a team environment.

• Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset.

• Hospitality or service-industry experience is considered an asset.
