
No two days are the same when you’re responsible for keeping a building at its best. As a General Maintenance Worker, you’ll tackle a variety of hands-on tasks that keep operations smooth and efficient.
Perform general repair work across the property, including drywall, ceiling tiles, carpentry, doors, flooring, and other surface finishes.
Escort contractors on-site as required.
Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Carry out setup and take down activities, including signage, kiosks, tables, ballot boxes, banners, stages, decorations, and related materials.
Transport and deliver chairs, tables, and other equipment as needed.
Support skilled trades (plumbing, millwright, filter technician, electrician) as directed.
Maintain organization and condition of storage rooms and equipment.
Update and maintain property directory boards and signage.
Maintain merchandising units and specialty leasing kiosks in a clean, functional, and presentable condition.
Liaise with operations staff, guest services, supervisors, and tenants to support daily operations.
Assist operations staff during emergency situations as required.
Perform other related duties within the scope of the role as assigned by the supervisor.
High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, facility services, or general handyman work (required); hospitality or commercial experience is a strong asset.
Basic plumbing, carpentry, or construction skills considered an asset.
Ability to safely lift up to 45 lbs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with tenants and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Solid working knowledge of tools with the ability to read and follow drawings, instructions, and specifications.
5th Class Power Engineering Certificate considered an asset but not required.
Proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
Able to work independently as well as within a team.
Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and related technology.
