Building Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client to support the daily upkeep and repair of property systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform scheduled, preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and serviced regularly.

  • Supervise vendors and contractors.

  • Provide access control for service personnel when an entry has been authorized.

  • Ensure maintenance records, files, and documentation are maintained.

  • Maintain stock, maintenance supplies, and complete regular inventories.

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • Professionally and courteously handle all inquiries, feedback, or concerns.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3 years Maintenance or Handyman experience.

  • High School Diploma.

  • Minimum 5th Class Power Engineering Certification.

  • Must be able to lift at least 30 kilograms.

  • Ability to problem solve and provide high-level customer service.

  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written.

  • Familiarity with smartphone and tablet technology.

  • Hospitality experience would be considered an asset.

  • Previous construction experience is an asset.

  • Previous plumbing experience would be considered an asset.
